I commute to Arlington from Md for work. The ramps from 295 to 395 and 395/695 to 295 have not improved my commute. The inbound commute in the morning can take 20 minutes from the 50 merge to 395, which that can only be a couple of miles. Why is it so bad? I though the ramp from 295 south to 395 would help matters but traffic seems to have gotten worse. On the outbound commute – it is a mess with drivers wanting to go 295 south having to cross over those wanting to go 295 north. Also, this new ramp brings me out behind 3 merges that back up the traffic on the ramp. When Phase II is done will this be addressed? Are there other projects that are diverting traffic and added numbers onto 295? I was so hopefully that those bridges would improve my commute but they have mad it much worse in the morning and slightly worse in the afternoon. Any clarification would be greatly appreciated.
