Mayor Vincent C. Gray Opens New Southbound DC 295 Ramp To 11th Street Bridge
Today, Mayor Vincent C. Gray opened a long-anticipated ramp from southbound DC 295 the inbound 11th Street Bridge that will decrease commuters’ travel times, reduce cut-through traffic on local streets and further efforts to create a sustainable, world-class waterfront in the District of Columbia.
New 11th Street Bridge Ramp Opens Afternoon of Monday July 30
Mayor Vincent C. Gray, the District Department of Transportation (DDOT), the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and community members will celebrate a major milestone on the 11th Street Bridge Project by opening the new freeway ramp that connects southbound DC-295 (Anacostia Freeway) to I-695 and I-395.
Kenilworth Gardens Segment of the Anacostia Riverwalk Trail Achieved Final Planning Milestone
The Kenilworth Gardens Segment of the Anacostia Riverwalk Trail has achieved its final planning milestone: on June 29, the National Park Service (NPS) issued a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) based on an Environmental Assessment the agency conducted for the project.
